Won't Ever Quit ~ final mix complete!

An update on the progress of Won't Ever Quit.
Let me start by saying, as an artist it is always such an amazing feeling to see your creative ideas come to life.  Admittedly for me, a roller coaster of emotions, there's excitement; anticipation; joy; and there's, nervousness, i am always a nervous pacing wreck in the studio     In the trusting & experienced hands of  Anthony Marrapese engineer & president of Reel to Real Recording, all is well!   Just yesterday I approved the final recording mix and copies sent to GG.
Kudos to Lynn Simon, Gloria Gemma 5K Coordinator,  the mastermind of this project!

I am so honored and fortunate to have extremely talented musical friends adding their magic to this recording ~   John Juxo on keyboard & accordian and Henry Peter on bass, both from Cranston, RI ~ FABULOUS!

Many thanks to Joe Yanish who helped gather voices for the Gloria Gemma Singers.
We had approx 35 young ladies from the Bay View Chorus, under the direction of Christine Cavanaugh;
Students from the Bishop Hendricken Young Men's Chorus, Under the direction of Mary Jo Gambardella & Richard Sylvia, Director of Arts;
And last, but certainly not least and definitely the most emotional  group of 22 singers, men & women who have been touch by cancer in their lives, be it themselves or those who came to sing in memory of someone they love.  Tears & Tissues in attendance
It was truly special ~ I am grateful, I am blessed ♥ There are no words to describe the magic and the beauty that happened in that studio Wednesday, Sept 12th .. I thank EVERYONE who was involved. Exactly how I imagined it would be ...
As I listen to the recording over and over and over again, I can't help but smile every time I hear the chorus voices start to sing  ... Won't Ever Quit .. continues to be an amazing experience .. XOXOXO I can't wait to share.   SOON! I promise!!

"For our sisters, our mothers, our daughters, our lovers
For those we will never forget
In the light of this love, I don't walk alone
And for this, I Won't Ever Quit"
(C)2012 Joanne Lurgio

Next step to complete CD graphics and get the song ready for distribution!  I will keep you posted!
All the best,
Joanne

    The song surpassed everyone's expectations, and will become the anthem of The Gloria Gemma 5K for sure ! The Choruses from Bay View, Hendricken and Our Gloria Gemma Survivors made these 3 minutes so very meaningful, beautiful and unforgetable ! To be a part of the chorus meant so much to me as a breast cancer survivor. For me, breast cancer was an individual health issue; that is until I met my "Gemma Family" from the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation and Joanne Lurgio I don't walk alone now anymore - "In the light of this love, I don't walk alone, And for this, I Won't Ever Quit." Words to live by as my health declines from other health problems and for those who know me...I never quit! Thank you for giving me a voice for the love and inspiration I have found through being a part of the recording of such a beautiful song...
